    Product Overview

Polypropylene (PP) sheet, also known as PP plastic board or extruded PP panel, is a high-performance thermoplastic material made by extruding PP resin with various functional additives. The extrusion process includes melt-compounding, calendaring, cooling, and cutting. As a semi-crystalline polymer, PP offers greater rigidity and a higher melting point than polyethylene (PE), making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

Homopolymer PP tends to become brittle at temperatures above 0°C, so most commercial PP sheets are copolymers. These are either random copolymers (with 1–4% ethylene) or block copolymers with a higher ethylene content, which offer improved impact resistance at the cost of lower thermal distortion temperature (~100°C), reduced transparency, gloss, and stiffness.

    Technical Properties of PP Sheet

    • Hardness & Melting Point: Higher than PE, making PP more heat-resistant.
    • Vicat Softening Temperature: Approx. 150°C.
    • Impact Strength: Increases with ethylene content in copolymers.
    • Crystallinity: High crystallinity provides excellent surface stiffness and scratch resistance.
    • Environmental Stress Cracking: PP exhibits excellent resistance; no known issues.
    • Melt Flow Rate (MFR): Ranges from 1 to 40. Lower MFR means better impact resistance but lower tensile strength.
    • Shrinkage Rate: Typically 1.8–2.5%. Addition of 30% glass fiber reduces shrinkage to ~0.7%.
    • Chemical Resistance: Excellent resistance to moisture, acids, and alkalis; poor resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g., benzene) and chlorinated solvents (e.g., carbon tetrachloride).
    • Oxidation Resistance: Inferior to PE under high temperatures.

    Common Types of PP Sheets

We offer various types of PP sheets to suit different application needs:

    1. Virgin PP Sheet (Pure Polypropylene Sheet)

    • Properties: Lightweight, weldable, easy to process, excellent chemical and heat resistance, high impact strength, non-toxic, and odorless. Meets environmental and food-grade safety standards.
    • Colors: White, light gray (standard), customizable colors upon request.
    • Applications: Widely used in chemical tanks, acid/alkali-resistant equipment, exhaust and wastewater treatment systems, fume scrubbers, clean rooms, semiconductor manufacturing, and thick-sheet stamping pads.
    • Recommended Sizes: 1300×2000mm, 1000×2000mm
    • Thickness Range: 1–60mm
    • Max Width:
      • 1–15mm: up to 1500mm
      • 15–30mm: up to 1300mm
      • 30–60mm: up to 1100mm

    2. Modified PP Sheet (Calcium-Filled Polypropylene)

    • Properties: Improved dimensional stability, rigidity, and thermal resistance. More cost-effective than pure PP.
    • Colors: Green, white, beige.
    • Applications: Ideal for manufacturing water tanks, three-phase separators, and non-critical structural components.
    • Recommended Sizes: 1000×2000mm
    • Thickness Range: 2–30mm

    3. Glass Fiber Reinforced PP Sheet (FRPP Sheet)

    Water and wastewater treatment plants

Reinforcement: Contains approx. 20% glass fiber.

    Performance Enhancements:

Twice the strength and stiffness of regular PP.

Enhanced heat resistance and low-temperature impact strength.

Superior dimensional stability with a low shrinkage rate.

Excellent resistance to corrosion, electrical arc, and mechanical stress.

Applications: Designed for harsh industrial environments, including:

    Petrochemical and chemical fiber industries

    Chlor-alkali production

    Dyes, pesticides, and pharmaceutical manufacturing

    Food processing, light industry, metallurgy
