UHMWPE sheet is a thermoplastic engineering plastic and one of our main products. We can produce sheets with molecular weights ranging from 3.5 million to 10.2 million. Its key features include:
- Excellent wear resistance – the higher the molecular weight, the better the wear resistance and impact strength.
- Outstanding impact strength – among the highest of all plastics, maintaining high toughness even at temperatures up to 70°C.
- Self-lubricating – offers smooth performance without external lubricants.
- Low water absorption – its physical and mechanical properties are unaffected by humidity in the working environment.
- Chemical stability – resistant to corrosion from acids, alkalis, salts, and various solvents within certain temperature and concentration ranges.
- Non-toxic and odorless – physiologically inert and compatible with biological applications.
- Non-stick surface – minimizes material buildup during use.
- Wide operating temperature – when molecular weight exceeds 500,000, the embrittlement temperature drops to -140°C. UHMWPE can retain mechanical strength even at cryogenic temperatures as low as -269°C (liquid nitrogen conditions).
Applications of UHMWPE Sheets:
- Lining – for silos, hoppers, wear plates, brackets, chutes, return devices, sliding surfaces, rollers, etc.
- Food machinery – used in guard rails, star wheels, guide gears, rollers, bearing bushings, etc.
- Paper machinery – for suction box covers, deflectors, doctor blades, and hydrofoils.
- Chemical industry – used for sealing plates, sealing materials, vacuum molds, pump components, bearing liners, gears, sealing surfaces.
- Other fields – agricultural machinery, ship parts, electroplating industry, and low-temperature mechanical components.
