Polyethylene liner boards can be supplied as sheets, cut panels or machined components for defined areas of hoppers, chutes, bins, conveyors and other equipment. The name alone does not establish the offered material, expected wear or flow result, chemical or food-contact suitability, temperature range, fastening pattern, equipment safety or approval of a completed liner system.

Start With the Actual Liner Location and Scope
Identify the equipment zone before selecting a board or requesting a quote: hopper wall, chute transition, bin outlet, transfer point, conveyor guide, wear panel or another defined location. Describe the contact material, flow path, impact or sliding zone, backing structure, replacement access and the part of the assembly covered by the supply scope.
- State whether the order covers raw board, cut panels, CNC-machined parts, fixing hardware, installation support or only a material quotation.
- Show the liner area, panel boundaries, adjacent materials, existing fasteners and any interface that must remain accessible.
- Keep responsibility for site measurements, structural support, equipment safety and final acceptance with the responsible project party.
Separate Board Supply From Liner-System Design
A supplier can quote a defined board configuration and fabrication scope. That does not approve unsupported spans, impact zones, load paths, fastening, joints, containment, guarding, equipment safety or the installed performance of a liner system.
Use drawings and acceptance criteria to distinguish the supplied panels from the work of the equipment designer, installer and site owner. This distinction is especially important where a panel arrangement changes material flow, access, structural support or safety controls.
Define the Supplied Polyethylene Material and Evidence
“Polyethylene liner board” can describe more than one PE family or formulation. Record the offered grade or resin basis, colour, thickness, surface, virgin or recycled-material requirement, board dimensions and any document reference needed for the order. Where a property, declaration or compliance statement matters, specify the exact offered formulation, test method, specimen condition, destination market and completed-part scope to which it applies. Flow direction and transition zones
Show material entry direction, changes in section, transfer points and any zone where a panel edge or joint could affect the assembly. The responsible design party should set the joint arrangement and acceptance criteria for the actual material path instead of relying on a generic overlap or panel-layout rule.
Replacement and maintenance access
Indicate whether panels must be removable through an inspection opening, whether lifting access is limited, and whether adjacent parts prevent a direct replacement path. A cut panel can be quoted accurately only when its delivery condition and replacement constraints are known.
Define Support, Fasteners and Interfaces
Provide the current drawing for holes, slots, countersinks, edge distances, washers, backing plates, joints and adjacent materials. The project owner or responsible engineer must define the fastening method, movement allowance, support spacing, concentrated-load condition and any equipment-specific safety requirement.
Holes and fastening hardware
Do not assume that a standard hole, screw or washer arrangement is suitable for every board thickness or assembly. Identify the hardware reference, hole geometry, visible face, flushness requirement, tightening responsibility and inspection method on the drawing or agreed sample.
Allow for Movement, Drainage and Service Access
Long panels, restrained fixings, wet service and outdoor installations require a project-specific review of movement, drainage, sealing interfaces and access for cleaning or replacement. A material data sheet does not define those assembly details.

Control Drawings, Cutting and Machining
For cut or CNC-machined panels, send the final drawing revision, finished dimensions, functional tolerances, holes, slots, cut-outs, edge condition, visible faces, quantity and measurement points. Install, Inspect and Accept the Supplied Panels
Agree which checks happen before shipment and which are verified during installation. Typical purchase inputs include board thickness, finished dimensions, hole positions, visible face, surface condition, colour reference, documents, photos, sample, first article or third-party inspection.
First article or dry-fit review
Where fit is critical, state whether an approved sample, first article or dry-fit check is required and who supplies the acceptance record. A supplier quotation should use the agreed revision and inspection scope, while final installation approval remains with the responsible project party.
Define Packing, Destination and Storage
Confirm protective film, edge protection, pallet or crate support, labels, stack orientation, quantity per pack, destination and Incoterm. If the panels will wait before installation, state any storage or handling constraint that must be reflected in the packing plan.
